Fairfax Imaging Named to Provide Order Processing System

The contract was signed March 1, 2006 and the system is expected to be completed and installed by the end of August of 2006. Fairfax Imaging will install its award winning imaging platform Quick Modules, which addressed all the imaging automation needs for documents and checks that are received by CIGNA. The goal is a turn-key solution that will allow for faster processing and increased cost effectiveness. Applying the latest in recognition technologies including OCR, ICR, and CAR/LAR, this new system will allow the CIGNA to streamline its operations further and reap better productivity out of its labor force.

Along with Quick Modules, CIGNA’s solution was also configured to integrate Fairfax Imaging’s new Quick Rx package. Quick Rx, is a thin client based application built around the concept of providing physicians, pharmacists, nurses and appropriate health care workers an easily accessible interface to order prescriptions. CIGNA’s Quick Rx module is planned to be used by over 300 users at multiple locations.

Currently Fairfax Imaging is under negotiations with CIGNA to integrate Quick Check 21 into their system as well. Once the data has been perfected and transmitted to Quick Rx, an x9.37 file would be created to hold the cash letter and images of the checks to be deposited. The file would then be transmitted electronically to Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC). This would further streamline operations, return higher productivity levels and eliminate the costs and time of shipping checks for processing.
